House rules
Community rules ยท Effective 1 October 2026
Security is on the door. They're chips, but they take it seriously.
By signing in you agree to these rules. They're short on purpose. They sit alongside our terms of use and privacy policy.
1. Review parmis you actually ate
One review per pub, from a real visit. Update it when you go back. No reviewing on someone else's behalf, and no reviewing a parmi you only saw on Instagram.
2. Be honest, be fair
Score what was on the plate. Criticise the crumb, the sauce and the chips as hard as you like. Don't attack the staff, the owners or other reviewers.
3. Your own photos only
Take them yourself. No pics lifted from Instagram, Google or the pub's website. Keep them to the food and the venue, and don't post identifiable people without their okay.
4. No hate, harassment or defamation
- Nothing racist, sexist, homophobic, transphobic, threatening or otherwise vile. Not even as a joke.
- No pile-ons, and no following someone around the app to go after them.
- Opinions are fine. Made-up claims about hygiene, food poisoning, crimes or someone's character are not. That's defamation, and it's on you.
5. No spam, no conflicts of interest
- Don't review your own venue, your employer's, or a competitor's.
- No paid or swapped reviews. If a pub gave you something in exchange for a review, don't post it.
- No ads, links or promo codes in reviews.
How we keep it that way
- Report. Anyone can report a review or photo. A moderator looks at every report.
- Block. You can block another reviewer so you don't see their reviews.
- Moderation. Moderators can hide or remove reviews and photos that break these rules.
What happens if you break them
Usually the review or photo comes down and we tell you why. Keep at it and we'll suspend or close your account. Anything illegal or threatening gets removed straight away and may be passed on to the police. Think we got it wrong? Email us and a human will have another look.
The Official Reviewer
Reviews marked Official come from @chicken.parmi.adelaide. They follow the same rules, are shown separately in gold and are never counted in the community score.
